ladies and gentlemen -
i finally know someone famous. (well....sort of.) this morning my best friend from salem texted me to let me know that the guy we had a crush on all throughout middle school is in a band that was on david letterman last night. how crazy right?! he was a few years older than us and waaay cool, so i'm sure he never even knew we existed. (she also texted me a few weeks ago to let me know that he had accepted her FB friend request haha) the band is called Typhoon and they're from portland, OR. they're kind of an indie-folk band. after further research (wikipedia) of this band, i realized that a guy my brother knows (and i knew his younger brother....once again: i had a crush on him too) named kyle morton is the lead singer of this band. who knew! this band consists of 12 people. yes, you read that right. 12 PEOPLE. there are 2 drummers (one of which is who hannah & i adored); 3 trumpet players; 2 violinists; a cellist; a tambourine player; a keyboard player; and two guitarists. they are mostly guys, but there are a few girls in it too. after watching their performance, i like them. which is pretty awesome considering they are semi-local. apparently they made an EP with a band from olympia, where i live now. such a small world.....

i understand if you hate david letterman because i know i definitely do....that's why you should fast forward. also because colin farrell is a guest and i don't like him either.
