as of late...

this weekend was so sunny and beautiful! on friday, i went downtown to meet my mentor who works at the nordstrom corporate offices. i took the bus and made it there and back by myself with no problem! i was so proud of myself - which sounds pathetic. it's the little things! my meeting went really well - i got to learn more about my mentor, kristi, and what she does on a day-to-day basis. i'm excited to see how it progresses as i get to know her better. later that night, we practiced for decade skate (our hall event this saturday) learning a few dance numbers and what not. as much as i love productions like this, i do not love the drama and stress associated with it. but it's my last time - ever - to be involved in something like this. so i'm gonna make it count. decade skate is hill's version of ashton cup, which i did last year. our skit includes the bachelor, michael scott from the office, and lady gaga. it should be pretty funny.
on saturday, i ran a few errands in ballard (including my first trip to cash & carry! i'm a believer), played some tennis at queen anne bowl with some girls on my floor (of which i am SEVERELY feeling the repercussions from...), and went to red robin (which seems to be a reoccurring weekend theme, much to my brother's chagrin....) i can't resist those sweet potato fries!
on sunday, we went to roy st. coffee & tea in capitol hill. it was pretty busy, but we managed to score a few comfy chairs to do some homework for a few hours.
over the last few days, i've become obsessed with the british boy band One Direction. it all started when i saw them perform on SNL last weekend. how do i know this? they were in my dream the other night. there are just so darn catchy! and adorable. and they have accents! i don't feel like a creep because they're my age. i admit this to everyone i know. watch one of their videos here:

i didn't take many pictures this weekend, so this is all i got:
bekah & i....we wore almost the same outfit (complete with sandals) without even planning it. great minds think alike, right??
tennis champ.

for my business homework, we have to read interviews with small business owners and take notes on different aspects of a business plan, like values, strategy, marketing, etc. this week's small business owner is steve bell, of pacific crest industries, who is my sister's father-in-law. it's weird reading an interview about someone you already know. however, i did learn a lot about the business side of him, which i was not as familiar with. you can read the interview (by my teacher, in SPU's SBE magazine) here.

that's all i got. this guy wants you to have a great monday:
