although my visit was short, it was sweet. we covered a lot of ground with the time we had. i got to see the adorable house she lives in from the '20s. i love old houses - they have such cool design features and are so quaint.
highlights include:
- Casa Que Pasa -- an amazing Mexican food place - home of the potato burrito. and pure joy.
- walking around downtown bellingham
- getting Woods coffee - my favorite northern treat (four words: white chocolate raspberry scone. divine.)
- 3 trips to fred meyer - one included buying two cartons of ice cream (one of them being spumoni - our favorite.)
- watching bridesmaids AND mean girls
- swinging on swings (and getting more mosquito bites than i can count....NOT a highlight)
- catching up on our lives
as you can see, it doesn't take much to entertain us. no going out. no dressing up. just a girls night. i think that true friends don't need fancy plans to really have a good time.
i forget what it's like talking/hanging out with someone who has known me for so long, and so thoroughly. she truly is one of a kind. and now i'm going to stop before i start getting emotional.....
i didn't take many photos, but here are a couple that pretty accurately describe us/the night.
and here's a OLDIE (but a goodie) from 10th grade.
love you, carls barkley aka carlyfornia aka carly fry.
here's to us.
